The Free Look · free · signed · no strings

The street tells a story.
The books tell the truth.

The Free Look is a one-page note on your restaurant, built from what anyone can see online — your menu, your reviews, and the three restaurants closest to what you do. Same format our clients get every week: never just a number — the number, and what to do about it, in dollars. An operator who has run a line reads and signs every note before it leaves.

name + city → the street view · add your numbers → math vs. your targets · send the P&L → the full read · free at every depth · you'll never see a bill for asking

Name and city

You get the street view — your prices and your reviews against the restaurants most like yours, in dollars.

Add your numbers
Sales, food %, labor %, targets

We do the math against your own targets — each gap in dollars a year, using your sales, not our guess.

Send the P&L
A phone photo is fine

The full read: your real food, labor and prime against your targets. Verified numbers, same one page.

The honest part: from the outside we can see prices and guests. We cannot see your food cost, your labor, or your prime cost — that is where the bigger money usually hides, and it only shows on your P&L. Whatever you give us, the note says plainly what it can and cannot support. And it is free at every depth — you'll never see a bill for asking.

Who runs the place?
SBO serves owner-run independent restaurants and food trucks — chains and groups are usually not our fit. Send the form anyway if you like; we will reply honestly either way, and point you somewhere good if we are not it.
Your numbers — optional, and the note gets sharper
Your numbers — optional, and the note gets sharper

Rough is fine. These are what you believe your numbers are — and that is the point. If your P&L says different, that gap is finding number one.

Food % and bar % live on different sales. The split lets us do the math straight instead of holding it loosely.
Your targets (leave blank if you have never set them — that is worth knowing too)
Prime cost is food plus labor — the number that decides whether a restaurant makes it.

Your real food, labor and prime against your targets, in dollars. Confidential — it goes to our working folder, never a list.

Every request is read by a person. No phone tag, no pitch — a written note, within 4 business days.

Owner-run independent restaurants and food trucks — that is who we serve. If that is you, we will take the look. Your answers and your P&L stay private: we never share or sell your information, and we will not add you to any list — one real note from a person, that is it.
